The pandemic has resulted in a difficult 10 months for many of us. Zoom schedules, child care, COVID infections, financial struggles, vaccines, reopening schools. Managing our lives takes real work and too often we struggle to handle it all.

Bethel School Board Seeks Interim Appointment
A resignation has created an open position on the Bethel School Board of Directors. Those interested in serving on the Board through June 2021 must have their application in to the District Office by noon, January 25, 2021.
Position #2 was declared vacant with the resignation of Board member Dawnja Johnson, who stepped down for personal reasons. Along with her School Board service, Dawnja has been a longtime active and engaged Bethel parent through PTO leadership, volunteering for school Band and Robotics competitions, as a founding member of the Bethel Education Foundation, and the Executive Director of the BEF.
Those interested in applying to complete the remainder of Dawnja Johnson’s term should click here for the online application. A paper version of the application is available at the Bethel School District office, 4640 Barger Drive, Eugene, OR 97402.
In order to be eligible to serve as a Bethel School Board Director candidates must be a registered voter and have resided in the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.
A Special Board Meeting will be held on January 28 during which candidates will be interviewed.
The full 4-year term of Board Position #2 will be up for general election in May of 2021.

PTO Square 1 Art Fundraiser
We are excited to still be partnering with Square 1 Art to celebrate creativity and raise funds for the school! It will just look a bit different this year.
Wouldn’t you love to share your child’s artwork with family and friends? The Square 1 Art art project provides you the opportunity to purchase keepsakes and gifts featuring your child’s art! Every order profits your school.
Your 3 Simple Steps:
- Your child creates art. Art Creation instructions and art/order deadlines will be provided by your Square 1 Art coordinator.
- Take a photo of your child’s art with your phone or tablet and upload the art online.
- You may then begin to shop for keepsakes!
Together, we can help support the school, and create keepsake memories of your child’s art to enjoy for years!
