Ashley Espinoza has been selected to fill the open position on the Bethel School Board created when Dawnja Johnson stepped down earlier this month. Espinoza will complete the remainder of Johnson’s term through the end of June.
A mother of two Bethel students, Espinoza is bilingual and excited to be able to bring some representation of the Latinx community to the School Board.
Along with her day job with Lane Workforce Partnership, she is a member of 14 boards, commissions and committees including a Governor’s appointment to the Commission on Hispanic Affairs.
Eight strong candidates were interviewed before the Board unanimously chose Espinoza for the vacant position.
