Through the approval of the 2020 Bethel Bond Measure, the 67-year-old Cascade Middle School has been replaced by a modern and efficient building. Construction started in the fall of 2022 and the ribbon cutting to open the new building was August 27, 2024 in front of hundreds of community members.
After nearly a year of planning and meetings with the local design team from Rowell Brokaw Architects, the new Cascade went up directly behind the old school with Todd Construction serving as the General Contractor. The Willamette High School softball field had to be relocated and is now near the WHS gym. It features a lighted artificial turf multi-use playing surface.
