Dirt was tossed at the groundbreaking of the new Cascade Middle School.
Students, families, Cascade staff, Superintendent Kraig Sproles and members of the Friends of Bethel Schools campaign committee cheered the ceremony.
Todd Construction will begin building the new school with a completion date expected near the end of 2023.
The new Cascade is made possible by a 2020 bond measure passed by Bethel voters with a 66% Yes vote.
