Surveys + information-gathering complete; Processing underway
Thank you to every Bethel community member who took the time to complete our community survey! Your responses will help to guide our strategic planning process and future work.
District staff are now working to compile all of the data gathered at our staff and community focus groups, as well as the data gathered in our surveys, to determine common themes. Our Strategic Planning Steering Committee will then use that information to make recommendations to district staff
Data and information gathered in this process will be shared back out to staff and families as it’s finalized. Stay tuned!

Update: Bethel’s Strategic Planning Process
Exciting efforts are currently underway in the Bethel District as we work to identify district priorities and come up with a strategic plan. When finished, this plan will help the district prioritize resources to provide an equitable, well-rounded, K-12 educational experience for all students and guide Bethel’s work for years to come. 
As a part of the strategic visioning process, Bethel leadership is engaging with a diverse representation of staff, students and families from each school and department through focus groups, surveys and one-on-one conversations.
Much of the feedback we’ve gathered so far has come in the form of focus groups, which help us to better learn and understand the lived experience of Bethel staff, students and families. The more information we gather from our community of students, staff and families, the better we can elevate their voices and determine a plan that accurately represents those groups.
We’re more than halfway through the information-gathering portion of the process, and we’re eager to dig into the data! All of the information gathered will be evaluated by an outside team, as well as an internal steering committee, which will ultimately make recommendations to the Bethel School Board and Superintendent for what themes we should include in the plan.
Interested in providing input? Join us for a Community Focus Group meeting from 5:30- 7 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Willamette High School cafeteria. Dinner and childcare will be provided and all Bethel community members are welcome to join. Dinner will take place from 5:30 – 6 p.m. with the focus group beginning at 6 p.m.

Actualización: Proceso de planificación estratégica de Bethel
Actualmente se están realizando esfuerzos emocionantes en el Distrito Escolar de Bethel mientras trabajamos para identificar las prioridades del distrito y elaborar un plan estratégico. Cuando esté terminado, este plan ayudará al distrito a priorizar los recursos para proporcionar una experiencia educativa K-12 equitativa y completa para todos los estudiantes y guiar el trabajo de Bethel en los próximos años.
Como parte del proceso de visión estratégica, el liderazgo de Bethel interactúa con una representación diversa de personal, estudiantes y familias de cada escuela y departamento a través de grupos de enfoque, encuestas y conversaciones individuales.
Gran parte de los comentarios que hemos recopilado hasta ahora provienen de grupos de enfoque, que nos ayudan a aprender y comprender mejor la experiencia vivida por el personal, los estudiantes y las familias de Bethel. Cuanta más información recopilemos de nuestra comunidad de estudiantes, personal y familias, mejor podremos elevar sus voces y determinar un plan que represente con precisión a esos grupos.
Estamos a más de la mitad de la parte de recopilación de información del proceso, ¡y estamos ansiosos por profundizar en los datos! Toda la información recopilada será evaluada por un equipo externo, así como por un comité directivo interno, que finalmente hará recomendaciones a la Junta Escolar y al Superintendente sobre qué temas debemos incluir en el plan.
