The steel frame is going up for Irving Elementary’s covered play structure.
The construction is well ahead of schedule after the international supply chain backlog of steel had initially pushed the construction timeline to late 2022.
Irving, Fairfield, Clear Lake, Malabon, Meadow View and Prairie Mountain schools will all get covered play areas.
The playground improvements are made possible through the 2020 Bethel bond, approved by voters with a 66% Yes vote.
