Fourth-annual Sources of Strength campaign currently underway across Bethel

We are excited to announce our fourth annual district-wide Sources of Strength Campaign is taking place this week and next! The campaign, “What Helps Me - Building My Wheel of Strengths,” runs March 10 - March 21 and aims to unite our school community around hope, help, and strength.

What is Sources of Strength?

Sources of Strength is our district-wide social and emotional learning curriculum. It’s fun, powerful and strength-based. It prioritizes mental health and helps students to recognize the strength they already possess and can rely on when things feel hard. It also provides a shared language around mental health and wellness, which is a powerful protective factor for our Bethel students.

While students have been learning about Sources of Strength throughout the school year, we feel it’s important to emphasize this program for students, staff and families for an entire two weeks.

Beginning this week, students will have the opportunity in their classroom to learn more about strengths, and participate in an activity that helps identify their specific strengths. We know that recognizing many strengths is more powerful than one, and so students will also have the opportunity to learn and share with their peers. Middle and high school students will also have additional activities led by their Sources of Strength Peer Leaders.

Please contact your school with any questions. We look forward to supporting our students and helping them identify their many strengths!
