Upcoming Athletic Opportunities

Starting on Tuesday, May 27th the OSAA open period begins. Willamette High School athletic programs will begin their summer workouts throughout the next few weeks. Below are the schedules for some of the sports Willamette offers. If you do not see the sport you are interested in listed, please reach out to Willamette's Athletic Director, Bill Wagner -bill.wagner@bethel.k12.or.us for questions.

  • Girls Volleyball - Weight Room workouts every Thursday May-June from 3:30-4:30 - Small group sessions in the main gym from 10:00-11:00 am every Tuesday in July

  • Girls Soccer - Workouts start on June 17th and they are every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00-11:00 am inside Wolverine Stadium

  • Boys Soccer - Workouts start on June 17th and they are every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-10:00 am inside Wolverine Stadium

  • Track and Field - Summer workouts start June 17th, and they are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00-11:30 am

  • Cross Country -  

  • What: Wolverine Run Club (Off Season Cross-Country Practice)
    When: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:30-11:30am, running July 7th thru August 14th (excludes Moratorium Week: July 27-August 2)
    Where: Wolverine Stadium
    Who: Any Bethel  6th grade or older (for 2025-26 school year) who would like to run
    How: Arrive with running shoes and fitness clothes appropriate for the days weather, bring water bottle (and snacks if needed)

  • Key details: 

    • 9:30-10:15 middle school and High school runners practice together
      • Middle School practice will remain on WHS campus for duration of practice
    • 10:15-11:30am High school team only
      • High School practice will go for off-campus runs most days
    • Middle school runners WILL NOT be allowed to practice unless there is a parent/staff volunteer present to supervise
      • Use this link for parents/staff to sign up to volunteer:    Parent Volunteer Sign-up form
      • Parent/Staff volunteer must arrive by 9:15am and be present until the last MS runner has been picked up, around 10:30am

All athletes who are playing a Fall sport you can register for your sport using this link - Willamette High School

 

All students will also need a current physical to participate next year. The Bethel Health Center is currently offering free physicals for the next few weeks. Please contact the Bethel Health Center at (541) 607-1430 to get your appointment scheduled.
